I have just watched Terry’s story on the BBC. As a stranger, I wish to extend my condolences to his family over his passing after the obvious hope brought by the pioneering robotic surgery. I expect the sense of loss being felt by you is immense and overwhelming. I was very taken by Terry’s spirit, kindness and positivity. His story resonated with me for many reasons (I was brought up in Milford Haven, I am the same age as Terry was though I do not think we met, and I have faced life-saving surgery). May Terry’s soul rest in peace and I wish you all the very best as you come to terms with his passing and face the future as a family. God bless. Jeremy Robson

I think it was brave of Terry and his family to share his illness on Saving Lives in Cardiff. Many would have understandably wanted privacy, but in sharing his experience he has raised awareness of the pioneering work being undertaken at the hospital and the humility, dedication and amazing skill of the staff that provide it. He sounded like lovely chap and and his loss will I’m sure be terribly felt by his family and friends. The program touched me given our very similar ages, and that my mum was treated in Cardiff for a brain tumour in the 80’s, to which she later succumbed, but not before she was given a precious last lease of life. Rest in peace Terry and thank you to your family for giving me the opportunity to make a contribution. Kind regards, Mike

Just watched Saving Lives In Cardiff and was very moved by the bravery shown by Terry and the other two patients shown. My brother had life saving surgery at UHW a few years ago. Where would we be without these extraordinarily gifted and compassionate surgeons, doctors and nursing staff? Thank you and bless you all. 🙏🏻

To my dear friend Terry, I'm going to miss our chats over the gate where we would shoot the breeze over every topic known to man. I'll miss you just turning up and cutting the grass when I'm away and we'll miss those extra custard slices (which I didn't always share) You were one in a million mate and a Legend. Marysia, Ben and Liam will take some time to adjust to your premature departure. You were taken far too early Ter but I'm happy that you managed to get your dream trip in to see Ben and his gang in NZ before your illness took a grip. Rest assured I can look over them all from my garden and will always be there for them should they need help or support. RIP Ter. X
